Demons are not Devils
We have come into these last days because of the discarding, and neglect of God’s Word. This has been done by the organized church—the very ones who ought to be defending the rock of our faith (Matthew 7:24,25; Romans 10:17).
This attack of God’s Word, through Bible revisions, is the last and most sophisticated assault that Satan has ever made. Our sworn enemy is now pushing his doctrines through what most have accepted as the Word of God. The purpose of this is to remove the authority of the true Word (KJV); and to create a book that every religion will look to for spiritual guidance. Much of this is covered in our Word of God section.
Our specific topic here is why the term devil(s) is appropriate, and demon(s) is not. The KJV never uses the latter term, demons(s).
When one uses the term devil, it is a clear reference to an evil spirit. There is no question of a devil’s standing with God, or its destructive intent toward mankind.
The word demon, however, is not clear at all. Demon is taken from the root word daemon, or daimon. This has been passed down from Greek mythology, and is primarily a referral to any angelic being; it can also be defined as a guardian spirit! If you were to take this as true, you might surmise that one possessed with a demon is not necessarily in danger—some would even contend that the demon was placed there by God, for that person’s benefit!
At this point I can hear the argument, “Well, brother, I don’t take it that way—I know a demon is evil.” But how will you defend yourself? If you claim to believe the Bible “version” you use is from God, then you must accept those words as divinely inspired (II Peter 1:20,21). How would you contend that a demon is evil, when the word is not necessarily defined that way?
This change in terminology is one key to having a unified world religion. Many are the false faiths that do not regard supernatural beings as being either good, or evil. New Agers channel spirit guides, many of whom claim to be “Christ” (Matthew 24:5). A great many others believe reincarnation, and explain the spirits from this perspective. You must know and believe the Word of God (KJV), if you wish your faith to remain unmovable in these deceitful days ahead.
So that is why I choose not to change God’s Word from devils(s) to demon(s); and my references to such always reflect God’s truth. God’s Word changes us, we do not change it (II Timothy 3:16,17; Deuteronomy 4:2). Be bold in Christ to apply God’s Word as He intended!
WARNING: To avoid Satan’s snares and deceptions, return to the pure Word of God; which is the King James Bible. Revised translations are not small word alterations meant to bring clarity! Major doctrinal changes have occurred, which will tend to bring doubt and destroy your faith. To follow these new “versions” of the truth, is to build your spiritual house upon sand, and become as the ones reflected in Matthew 7:21-23. Please use this entire passage, Matthew 7:21-27.
Satan means to deceive you into sincerely following his alternate “truth.” You are really being set up to fall, and serve the antichrist.
Pray and seek God diligently in this matter; for time is short. See also our Word of God section and the section on A Sure Salvation vs. Eternal Security.
